based in Brooklyn, NY
I am a current first year graduate student in my Masters program at New York University studying Theatre Education with Initial Licensure!
I am also a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors of the Arts in Theatre Arts, with a minor in Secondary Education, and certificate in American Sign Language.
I am currently working on my Masters degree and observing in schools around New York City!

I view directing as an opportunity to collaborate with artists from various backgrounds, coming together to create meaningful stories. I believe every contributor in the creative process deserves an equal voice. My focus is on guiding actors toward a deeper understanding of character and world, rather than prescribing every movement. For me, storytelling must have purpose. It should provoke thought and leave audiences reflecting after the performance. I build pictures, power dynamics, and moments of realization. The actors and designers bring their artistry to fill in the rest, and I trust their processes completely.

Theatre offers countless opportunities for young people to learn and grow. Not every student who enters a theatre classroom will leave dreaming of becoming an actor, but each can leave with something just as valuable. They will leave with social-emotional skills, critical thinking, empathy, and confidence. These life skills are fundamental and too often forgotten in traditional curriculum.
I believe in a student-centered approach, where learning revolves around the students’ interests, voices, and experiences. My goal as a teacher is to nurture each student’s ideas and provide them with the tools they need to succeed in whatever path they choose.

Too often, I’ve encountered peers, students, or actors who have had negative experiences in theatre classrooms and environments. I’ve experienced both the positive and the negative myself, and I don’t want the negative to be the norm. My goal is to foster a classroom that empowers students to understand how they deserve to be treated, both in the world and within theatre spaces. I strive to help make positive and inclusive experiences the new norm.
